MAAA works to link people with needed
services and information through several programs.
Senior Services
Learn about options for seniors that helps maintain independence in the
community. Information is available on employment, financial assistance,
Medicare and Medicaid, in-home help, food and nutrition, prescription
expense help, transportation and much more.
Senior LinkAge Line®
The Senior LinkAge Line® is a nationwide toll-free number (1-800-333-2433) that is
answered Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM - 4:30PM by certified information
and assistance specialists.
Health Insurance Counseling
Certified health insurance counselors are available at no fee to answer questions
on Medicare, supplemental insurance, long-term care insurance, and other
related questions. Health insurance counseling is available through
Senior LinkAge Line® and one-on-one with trained staff and volunteers.
Caregiver Support
Education, resources and services that enable caregivers to provide care
for an older family member while maintaining their own quality of life.
Multicultural
Services
Minnesota, especially the Metropolitan area, has a growing
diverse population. To help meet the specific needs of minority elders
and their families MAAA funds and utilizes various multicultural services.
MinnesotaHelp.Info (Off Site)
MinnesotaHelp.info is a statewide resource database containing
information on more than 12,000 agencies providing such services
as health care, education and recreation, retirement, disability and
social service information. This Directory contains information on
nonprofit and public health and human service programs and for-profit programs. The site walks consumers through six simple steps
that lead them to service and housing options that may benefit them or family members, friends or clients.
Senior Surf Day
Learn to use the Internet or volunteer to teach a Senior Surf Day class.
